Tampa Trade & World Affairs Council offers globally minded citizens an opportunity to hear from international experts and high level dignitaries about their perspective on world affairs and also to enlighten members on the cultures of other nations and to learn how to engage in business or trade in other countries. It comes at a time when America's image around the world is at all-time low. It is crucial that we be informed on critical global affairs and how they impact our daily lives.

Tampa Trade & World Affairs Council  is formally affiliated with the World Affairs Council Association of America, which currently is connected with 87 World Affairs Council organizations in major cities across the United States (See www.worldaffairscouncils.org for more information.)

Tampa Trade & World Affairs Council provides its members with opportunities to become globally aware of economic, energy, global warming, political, cultural and travel topics and to develop new personal insight of important world events. Members also enjoy the potential for business and personal relationships with individuals from around the world through monthly luncheon forums and receptions to meet visiting dignitaries, governmental officials, business leaders and academic and environmental experts, as well as recognized journalists invited to address members on important business, environmental, cultural, political or travel related subjects.

Tampa Trade & World Affairs Council which is part of the Tampa Bay Council of World Affairs & Commerce  is an organization offers opportunities to provide a venue and network to visiting international dignitaries, foreign officials, academic experts, business executives and recognized journalists to address some of the major issues facing different parts of the world and to learn more about foreign markets and countries. Emphasis will be on creating  a deeper understanding of cultures and the thinking of foreign leaders, plus making members feel more comfortable traveling in countries around the world.

It comes at a time when America’s image around the world needs improvement and Americans need to be more aware of global affairs and how they impact us locally.

The CTWA address important issues which could impact Florida and the U.S., plus it is a  venue to learn more about other cultures around the world. There are significant numbers of business people and retired executives in southwest Florida that are, or were, involved internationally in their careers and still care about what’s taking place, but are not getting an opportunity for dialogue to keep abreast of the important events taking place around the world.

The TTWAC  also offers a way for people who  to stay informed, be involved and also to broaden their knowledge about the cultures of different countries in the process.

The TTWAC gives foreign nationals a connection to reach out to make new friends and to establish new investment opportunities and business alliances beyond South Florida and Miami.
